Cathy grew up in Upper Yoder Township and graduated from Westmont Hilltop High School, Johnstown, PA. She attended the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown Campus. She was employed by Cenwest Bank and continued working for the bank when it changed to First Commonwealth Bank. She was a Customer Service Representative. Currently, Cathy is employed by Westmont Borough as the Assistant Secretary/Treasurer.

Cathy lives in Westmont Borough, Johnstown, PA and has been married to Tim Leech for 32 years. They have a son, Andrew – age 24..
